Library cards are free for all Atlantic County residents and residents of Ocean City and Avalon (COIL members). Two proofs of residency are required (for example, a current NJ DMV driver's license, a recent utility bill, voter registration card, copy of a tax bill, or a one year lease). The identification presented must be in your name, must be current, and must have the same address that you indicate on your application.
All other New Jersey residents are charged a one time only fee of $10.00 for library cards.
Loan Period
Bestselling adult fiction books, magazines, and VHS tapes- 1 week.
All other books and audios-3 weeks.
DVDs- overnight and a $1.00 fee to checkout.
Renewals
Renew your books at the circulation desk, or by calling 926-7991 extension 3.
Reserves
Place a hold at the circulation desk, by calling 926-7991 extension 3, or by logging into the online Catalog (for directions on how to reserve an item online click on the help button in the catalog).
Late Fees
5 cents a day for a 3 week item, 10 cents a day for a 1 week item or inter library loan, and $1.00 a day for an overnight item.
